The word seek connotes, not mere casual inquiry, but active searching. It suggests an earnest desire to discover, to find and to know. The Lord is not hiding from us; He wants to be found. It is only that we have wandered far afield, and it is up to us to seek those paths and landmarks that will lead us home, those signs and symbols that will let us know Him again.
