God is an artist
A master of every beauty
We are the imperfect materials
with which He deigns to work
Clay, idle by the river
Wood, drifting through the waves
Stone, lost in the quarry
Notes, jumbled on the wind
Words, still trapped in the inkwell
If we give ourselves into his hands
He will shape us
Carve us
Sculpt us
Sing us
Write us
And in the end, we will be beautiful
